My computer is out of disk space

If you receive an error that mentions you are low on storage or disk space you can quickly resolve this. 

The first action you should take is to empty the recycling bin of files you no longer needs. You can do this by right clicking on the recycle bin and choose Empty Recycle Bin.

Second you should make sure only files and folders you need from Google Drive are downloaded and stored locally on your computer. You can refrence this article or watch this short video that demonstrates how to do this:



The third action is to delete any files on the computer you do not need that might be stored in locations not backed up by Backup and Sync (the downloads folder for example). Make sure you empty the recycle bin again.

Once you've performed these steps you should restart the computer by clicking the Windows button, clicking the power button and selecting restart.
