All Bonneville Joint School District 93 users have access to transfer their D93mail Google Accounts to a personal Google Account. This includes anyone with a d93mail.com account (staff, students, substitutes, etc).
The easiest way to navigate to this feature is after logging into your gmail account, clicking on your account icon and clicking the "Manage your Google Account" button. This will take you to your D93mail Account Management Portal.
Once at your management portal, you will see an option right away to "Transfer your content", simply click on the "Start Transfer" button to start the process.
Be aware that this only works with Gmail accounts, and you will need to have enough space for your personal Gmail account to accomidate all of the items you are transfering. Student D93mail accounts are capped at 50gb, and staff accounts are capped at 1TB. A personal gmail account is capped at 15GB.If you have well over 15GB in D93mail you're wanting to save you'll have to manually download files (or utalize Google takeout feature: https://takeout.google.com/) and save to your own computer, thumb drive, or personal cloud storage.
At the account transfer screen you will provide your personal gmail account, and a two-factor code that will send to that personal gmail account to verify you have ownership of that account.
Once that is done, you will have the choice of transfering over your Drive, Gmail, or both.
You may have a prompt after submitting your personal gmail account to log into google, this would be your personal gmail credentials (not your D93mail credentials) in order to verify you have ownership of the gmail account you are transfering to (in our tests this seems to be the process for students, staff will get a prompt for a two factor code sent to their personal gmail).
Once this process is complete it's just a waiting game to have all files transfered over. Depending on what you're transfering it may take a few hours for it to complete. Most errors that we've encountered seem to be linked to storage size mentioned above. So double check to see if you can accomidate what you're bringing over from D93mail to your personal Google account.
