As security policy certain file types are blocked on inbound and outbound emails. If you or the person sending you an email receives a rejection notice here are some steps you can take to work around it.
First review the file types that are rejected:

Solution:
Option 1:
The prefered solution is to edit and share documents in a cloud based system. Bonneville School District provides two solutions: GSuite (@d93mail.com) and Office 365 (@d93.k12.id.us). Both solutions include web based email, calendar, document editors and cloud storage. Files can be shared internally in the cloud solution. Both solutions are accessible from nearly any device from any location. GSuite provides unlimited document storage while Office365 provides 5 gigabytes of storage.

Option 2:
If you must still use an offline client please save the file as a .docx, .xlsx or .pptx. Here is an example using Microsoft Word. The option will be extremely similar for Excel and Powerpoint.
