🛡️ Securing Your Account: Mandatory Microsoft Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
To protect our staff and district data, Microsoft Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is now mandatory for all @d93.k12.id.us accounts. This security requirement applies to your Microsoft login and all associated products (like Outlook, OneDrive, and Teams).
🚀 Getting Started
The first time you sign in to your District 93 @d93.k12.id.us Microsoft account (logging into Outlook, Onedrive, etc), you will be prompted to set up your MFA method. You can choose the option that works best for you:
- Microsoft Authenticator App: Receive a secure push notification on your smartphone (requires app installation).
- Text Message: Receive a secure code via SMS.
- Phone Call: Receive an automated call to verify your identity.
📱 New Phone or Changed Number?
Because MFA links your identity to your specific device or phone number, certain changes will interrupt your access. If you have:
- Changed your phone number
- Upgraded to a new phone
- Lost your device
- Authenticator app no longer working
You will be unable to log in and must contact the D93 Technology Department.
Typically, our team will "reset" your MFA status to its initial state. This allows you to log in with your password and follow the setup prompts again to link your new device or number.
