Authorized D93 Staff members can now securely reset student passwords directly through the Classlink Portal.
π Requirements for Access
Access is automatically granted based on your Job Title. If your role requires this and you don't see the tool, please submit a Work Order to your Department Technician to request an update. π οΈ
π» How to Access & Reset Passwords
Locate the Tool: Look for the Groups and Users (Beta) icon inside your Classlink Dashboard.
Find the Student: Once the portal opens, you will see the list of students assigned to your area. Use the Search Fields (Search by Name or Email) to quickly find the specific student who needs help. π
Reset the Password:
Click the Pencil Icon βοΈ next to the student's name.
A prompt will appear asking you to set a Temporary Password.
Student Login: Provide the temporary password to the student. Once they log into Classlink, they will be immediately prompted to create a new, permanent password of their choice. π
πPassword Requirements:
A temporary password and the new password must meet standard security requirements:
π Must be at least 10 characters long.
π Cannot reuse any of your last 24 passwords, this includes passwords used as temporary ones.
π Must be complex β include at least three of these:
- π Uppercase letters (A-Z)
- π‘ Lowercase letters (a-z)
- π’ Numbers (0-9)
- β Special characters (like !, @, #, $, %, &)
π« Cannot contain your username or parts of your name.
π« Cannot have the same character repeated too many times in a row (like "aaaa" or "1111").
