A: Yes, All Chromebooks will need to be checked in at the end of the year to ensure the correct students have the correct Chromebooks.
Q: Will we be checking Chromebooks into GoGuardian Fleet?
A: No, we have moved to a new software called Vizor. This will give us greater visibility and better reporting. https://d93.vizor.cloud/ We are in the process of getting everything migrated further instructions will be coming soon.
Q: What needs to happen with outgoing 6th grader Chromebooks?
A: They will need to be checked in and put in a separate pile so we can move these Chromebooks to the middle school. Please label the Chromebook with the assigned student’s name to make it easier for the next school’s designated Chromebook manager. i.e., use labels, papers closed in the lids, Sticky notes closed in the lids.
Q: Do we need to check for damage?
A: Just a quick visual check for broken screens or missing keys. If a Chromebook is damaged, please submit a work order for repair.
Q: Can we keep the Chromebooks that the district is going to surplus to use in the classroom?
A: No, they can no longer receive the latest security updates.
Q: Can the surplus Chromebooks be given or purchased by Faculty, Staff, or Students?
A: No, because they are engraved with our logo, we want to prevent them from being accidentally identified as lost or stolen in the community.
Q: What is the Chromebook rotation this year look like?
A: Kindergarten (New Chromebooks)
K → 1 → 2 → 3 → 4 → 5 → 6 → 7
9th Graders (New Chromebooks)
9 → 10 → 11 → 12 → 8
Q: Why does the rotation keep changing?
A: Because the number of Chromebooks we have ageing out at the same time is causing a problem as we continue to buy new Chromebooks every year the rotation will start to normalize.
Q: How do you want us to handle getting the Chromebooks back to the students next year?
A: Whatever process works best for your school. Past years some schools have collected Chromebooks and sorted them by last name and grade in the library and had the kid find their Chromebook and bring it up to be check out and receive a charger. Some schools have left them in the classroom and had the students return to their last year's class to pick them up and then go to the library to check them back out.
Q: Do Chromebook chargers need to be collected?
A: Yes, If the student does not turn in a charger, please keep track of the student so he/she can be charged. The school is responsible for purchasing chargers if enough are not collected at the end of the year.

A: The school who has the student will submit a work order requesting the Chromebook. Except Technical Careers, Lincoln High School and Bonneville Online Elementary.
Q: If a student is going to TCHS, LHS or BOES what do I do with their Chromebook?
A: Check it for damages that need to be fixed and check it in and add it to your loaner Chromebook inventory.
