Activating Microsoft Office 365
Once Microsoft Office 365 apps have been installed from the software catalog you will need to active the software. Don't worry activation is as easy as signing in with your @d93.k12.id.us account. Follow these steps.
- Open an Office application and make sure it is in the foreground. From the menu bar click the office applications name (in this case we are using Outlook) and then click Activate Office.
- Select Already have a subscription? Sign In. Sign in with your @d93.k12.id.us address and typical district password. When prompted for which type of account to sing in with choose Work or School. You will prompted to perform Multi Factor Authentication and after doing so Office will activate.
Configuring Outlook for Email
Now that you are signed in with your school Office365 account configuring your email is a breeze. Let's open the Outlook app.
- From the menu bar click Outlook and then click preferences.
- In the new window that opens click Accounts
- If no accounts currently exist you'll see a screen prompting you to add an account. If an account already exists you'll need to click the little + icon at the bottom of the account window.
or - You'll be prompted to enter your email address. Enter your @d93.k12.id.us or @d93mail.com address. If you already activated office using your @d93.k12.id.us address you will not need to provide your password again. If you enter your @d93mail.com address you will be prompted to enter your password.
- Congratulations you set up your email!
